Hello and Welcome to my blog Introduction and video which gives you an overview of what my interests, strengths, skills, career aspirations and goals are. I will also provide an in-depth approach to the way I conveyed my messages through the video throughout this blog and how the cinematic elements were used to convey the emotion and direct use of expression to enhance my performance. Throughout this experience I found there were a few things that did change in the lead-up to filming the video such as using a jumper to replace the sound as the wind from the video was affecting the record-ability of the video, so using the jumper allowed for it to sound smooth and run effectively.
I also decided to use medium closeups and a wide shot of the background of the scenery to establish the video’s location and theme compromising my personality which is calm and creative. I discussed in the video that I have been involved in community local events such as fundraising and my background of film-making, media, performing arts and working in children’s services which allowed for me to explain that I know how to connect, interact and network with people to progress in creating opportunities such as opening my established academy of the performing arts and productions company.
I hope to continue these ventures as my career progresses into the future and have my eye set on becoming a successful and competent Journalist/Television Reporter as well as a Performing Arts Teacher/Lecturer as I have always had interests related to both careers.

How I Filmed the Video
There were times during the process of making the video, I seemed to fall in a bit of a trap and not knowing what to put into the video. So, I learnt to allocate more time to plan the sort of content I would like to add to the video. It took a few takes for me to shoot it successfully. I became more confident when I placed the camera on a tripod and the camera focusing on my connection between my voice and my upper body which is a stance that reporters would stand. It also gave me the chance to establish my connection and eye contact with the camera. Creating a dynamic effect.
Strategies used in the video and decision-making process.
I found that using the camera on the tripod reflected well with the camera’s imaging and as it was used as a steady focus made it view-able for audiences easily.

Lessons I have Learned.
Some lessons I have learned is to become more engaged with the course from week 1. Not to be late with readings or viewing resources as these can be of vital help in the coming weeks to help with assessments. In terms of this video I filmed with my DSLR and found that the camera ability seemed to flow as I shot the video, which was good to experience. The variety of camera shots and angles used in the cinematic elements helped me to capture the essence of the videos message being conveyed through my screen video.
Therefore, for my student assessment I have contributed to making a video introduction explaining and providing a overview of my interests, strengths, goals and career aspirations as well explaining the processes of my decision making, creating ideas, researching and the types of cinematic elements used in the video to capture the essence of what my message is to the audiences. Now it’s your turn to create that potential in you, find your niche and get creating.
Until Next Time
